2025 Summer Grind Series: Pure Shooter Camp Part 2- Advanced Shooting Techniques Location: LHBA South- 639 Gravois Bluffs Blvd H. Fenton, MO 63026 Drop off: 9am Pick up: 3pm Ages: 1st – 8th Description: Part 2- Advanced Shooting Techniques is a great way to build off what players learned at the Pure Shooter Camp Part 1- Shooting Fundamentals. Even if a player did not attend Part 1, they will be able to build on their existing shooting fundamentals to learn advanced shooting techniques. At Part 2, players will review what was learned in Part 1 briefly, form, shot mechanics, footwork, timing and how to create space. Athletes will learn how to shoot off the dribble as well as in space. Getting to your spot on the floor or finding the open spot is beneficial for a higher percent shot selection. Players will also learn how to effectively catch and shoot and shoot off the dribble with a focus on being on balance and release speed. Shooting off the dribble and catch shoot situations are valuable aspects shooters all must possess, athletes that are willing to learn how to properly shoot the ball and be effective in game will always have a roster spot on a team. Training Focuses: Advanced Shooting Techniques Players will focus on midrange and long range shots with proper shot mechanics to become an effective outside shooter. Our shooting machines will be used throughout camp that will help with a high volume of reps and more time to work on shooting mechanics. Player Development: The player development focus will be on how to create good practice habits, and how to identify and correct their own shooting mistakes with proper mechanics. Athletes will be able to identify and feel when their shot is on or off; feels good or weird. Players must pay attention to their form and what works best for them. In-Game Shots: Throughout the week we will create game like situations that help players develop the ability to shoot against defenders and under pressure. Athletes must be able to translate the skills learned in camp to exterior practices and games with their respective teams. Competition: At the end of the week, athletes will engage in shooting competitions among their respective age groups. Prizes and awards will be given out for select competitions.
